Park Development Status
As of February 2023:
Land was purchased in 2022 to extend the park to 21.5 acres
THE PARK IS LOCATED ON HWY 266 FROM THE EAST BANK OF THE VERDIGRIS RIVER MOVING EAST TO A POINT JUST PAST THE FISHING POND - ROUGHLY ALIGNED WITH THE 1ST BRIDGE JUST WEST OF THE WARD BUILDING (SEE IMAGE BELOW)
The east end of the park (east of the fishing pond) is aligned with private property and approval had been given to fence the east boundary.
Awaiting confirmation of a grant to grade and lay down approx. 1 mile of "slab" to form the base for the walking trail.
Assuming grant is confirmed work should start on the walking trail during the late spring / early summer of 2023
